Job Summary: The Director of Business Development is responsible for attaining assigned revenue and account development goals by driving sales initiatives with corporate legal departments and law firms. This role requires an ambitious and energetic hunter and a track record in e-discovery and litigation support sales. The ideal candidate will bring a consultative, value-driven sales approach and will be relentless in creating and capturing new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attain and exceed revenue and client development targets.
- Develop and execute a strategic client base and market presence
- Drive new business acquisition through proactive outreach and prospecting efforts.
- Develop strong relationships with corporate legal departments and law firms to secure legal service engagements.
- Consistently qualify leads, develop proposals and close deals in coordination with executive leadership
- Promote and implement value-selling sales methodologies to articulate ROI- driven service value.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, client meetings an networking events.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of sales activities, leads and opportunities in Hubspot.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful onboarding and delivery of client projects.
- Contribute to the growth of existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university advanced degree is a plus.
- 3-5 years of proven, successful sales experience in the e-discovery and litigation support industry.
- Demonstrated mastery of EDRM model and value-based sales principles.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and successfully hunting new business.
- Experience selling high-value, project-based services to legal clients.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in an emerging, fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of legal industry challenges and the ability to position solutions accordingly.
- Willing to travel to industry events including conferences.
