Our company seeks a seasoned Director of Cyber Forensics with a robust background in cyber investigations, digital forensics, and management within high-stakes environments. This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in leading diverse forensic teams, developing cyber investigation capabilities, and providing expert witness testimony. The successful candidate will lead our Cyber Forensics division, driving both strategic and operational excellence across national and international projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and expand the Cyber Forensics division by developing strategic initiatives and ensuring their effective execution.
- Oversee complex forensic investigations and manage the response to cyber incidents, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Supervise the forensic analysis of digital, mobile, and cloud data, ensuring quality and adherence to best practices in digital evidence handling.
- Provide leadership in the development and maintenance of tools, procedures, and workflows to enhance the division’s forensic capabilities.
- Act as a liaison with law enforcement, legal teams, and other stakeholders, providing expert testimony as needed.
- Manage and mentor a team of forensic analysts, promoting continuous professional development and operational excellence.
- Prepare and manage the division’s budget, optimizing resources while ensuring the growth and profitability of the department.
Requirements:
- At least 15 years of progressive experience in cyber operations and digital forensics, with a focus on leadership in forensic services.
- Advanced degree in Digital Forensic Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Extensive experience with forensic tools such as Axiom, FTK, EnCase, and Cellebrite.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong strategic planning, team building, and project management skills.
- Proven track record of expert witness testimony in high-profile cases.
- Certifications such as ACE, MCFE, CCME, CCO, CCPA, GCFE, GASF, GBFA, GCFA, and Certified Cyber Crime Investigator.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
